About Christopher

Chris is a managing director of AmbroseAdvisors™ and has dedicated his career to counseling shareholders, boards of directors, and executives of closely held businesses in connection with liquidity strategies and business succession planning. Chris is also a founding member of Holzman Horner PLLC, an affiliate member of AmbroseAdvisors™ providing legal services to Ambrose clients.

Prior to co-founding AmbroseAdvisors™ Chris was a member of the mergers and acquisitions and federal taxation practice groups in the Washington, D.C. office of an Am Law 200 law firm.

Chris received his juris doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law where he served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review. He also received his Bachelor of Arts degrees magna cum laude in both Economics & Commerce and Greek & Latin from Hampden-Sydney College where he served as an investment manager of a portion of the college’s endowment.

Chris is an associate member of the Legislative and Regulatory Advisory Committee of The ESOP Association and a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership. Chris frequently writes and speaks on contemporary legal and financial issues affecting closely held businesses. In addition, Chris is a member of the American Bar Association, Commonwealth of Virginia Bar Association and District of Columbia Bar Association.
